Girls Camp Pictures

This gives you an idea of what the t-shirts looked like - sort of. The color of shirt was different, there were some that were light purple, some were a turquoise blue and some were navy blue. They looked really cool and Elizabeth designed them again this year! She is so creative! Loved it!


This is Saturdays Value Class. Most are still wearing their camp t-shirt so you can see what color they are. We set up some shade which came in very handy not only with the sun but also with the sprinkles we would get!

This had to be Saturday, cuz she's wearing the camp shirt! We had a downpour! It was so fun! This is Sis. Krummenacher, the camp director (and now YW President!) enjoying the wonderful rain! Love this picture!

Here's Elizabeth and Natalie waiting for the first group to finish! They wanted to wave those flags so bad, but we ran out of time! AND here is the other color of t-shirt! Girls in blue, staff in purple! Men in dark blue!

This is just before Sacrament meeting. The Stake Presidency blessed the Sacrament and the priesthood passed. The priesthood was made up of high councilmen and a stake clerk. So lucky to have such wonderful men take time off of work to be at girls camp the whole 5 days! They did so many things to help anyone who needed them!

I told you we froze the culture treats real good this year!

Only way to get the job done right! Or it takes a piece of your tongue! Ouch!

Stanley got a phone call so Pres. Powell took over and did a very good job! He's got twang!

Monday morning cheer! Several years ago the presidency did a skit with "Poncho" and the "mountain man". Well the mountain man was replaced by the "Frenchman"! So we introduced the Frenchman to the girls. Poncho came riding in on his "trusty steed" looking for the mountain man, but Stanley aka "The President" told him he moved far, far away to the land of Queen Creek and we now had a Frenchman.

Who told everyone he was told to bring a knife in French (Pres. asked him to speak English), so he said it again and held up this little tiny knife. You can see Pres. Powell, holding his BIG knife, getting ready to open it and show everyone, "That's not a knife, this is a knife!"

And then we were suppose to shout, "Hurrah! Hurrah! For Israel! Hurrah!

These ladies were hilarious. Sis. Walters and Sis. Gurr were the capers ladies and this is their part in the staff skit! It was a take off of Alice in Wonderland and they are of course, Twiddle-dee and Twiddle-dum! The next day they reprized their roles and did a funny little dance which I really wish I would have recorded! It was so funny! They were great caper ladies (chore inspectors and schedulers)

This is our last morning cheer. We each had a day taped to the front of our shirt and we "sang" Sunrise, Sunset. Holding the sun on one side and bringing it over our heads to the other side!

And handing it to the next day!



But Pres. MacKinnley had left early so Pres. Powell said something, but I can't remember what. I was the last day and at "Sunset" we were going to "be in our own beds!"
